In order for Luminate to work most effectively for you, please keep the following in mind:
- Images must be a minimum size of 200×200 for Luminate to work. Luminate ignores images that don’t meet this minimum size requirement.
- Make sure that every page of your website with images that you want enabled includes the Luminate javascript. Luminate works best if you place your code in a common included footer before the tag. Most content management and blog systems will provide a way for you to append this JavaScript at the end of every page.
- Many Luminate applications are keyed off of a particular person or item in your images. Luminate has built some amazing technology to automate the extraction of this data but we’re not always able to find this out. For the best user experience, add the exact name of the person or thing depicted in the image to the ALT text or TITLE text. This will give our applications the best possible match and give your users the best possible experience.
- Try some image applications! Luminate’s new platform can increase engagement and drive new traffic. You can select from a variety of relevant applications include Facebook and Twitter position sharing. - You can set the percentage of images that show Luminate image ads by selecting “Show Preferences” and setting the “Ad Percentage” under the Image Advertising application. 100% shows ads on all applicable images where 50% would show on only half.
